When you need a receipt in Singapore
In Singapore a GST-registered business must issue a receipt if the customer asks. It needs a serial number, your name and GST registration number, the date, the total including GST, and the words "Price payable includes GST".
Receipt or invoice?
An invoice asks for payment. A receipt confirms that payment has been made. If you already sent an invoice, the receipt can refer to its number.
